What is OPAL Community Land Trust and how do we provide affordable home ownership on Orcas Island? Learn More
Each OPAL neighborhood has its own character. Site designs strive to minimize impact on the land and the permanently affordable homes were built with durability, sustainability and energy-efficiency in mind. View Our Properties
To address the need for more affordable rental housing on Orcas, OPAL signed a purchase and sale agreement to acquire nearly four acres on North Beach Road – across from Children’s House and north of the orchard – to build approximately 30 affordable rental residences. The property will be developed over the next several years. Learn More
In recent years about 15% of Orcas Island’s 3,100 households have contributed to help OPAL implement programs to provide permanently affordable housing. Members are the heart and soul of our organization. Additional support comes from volunteers who give generously of their time and contribute amazing talents to OPAL. Your donated dollars make a positive difference today as well as for future generations of islanders. Make a contribution, volunteer, and join islanders in support of OPAL. Here's How
